Make Windows Mail Your Default Windows Email Program

hi everyone, using outlook express as email client may not suit everyone. its very obvious that outlook express is looks very complex and it seems to hang several times. so the better option would be to go for windows mail which is light weight, fast and easily gets configured with yahoo.co.in, gmail mail accounts.

the trick is simple and follows some simple steps.


Press Windows-R.(opens a run dialog box)

Type "winmail /reg" (excluding the quotation marks).

Click OK.
Nothing will appear on screen. Do not be alarmed. Wait for ten seconds or so to make sure the process has finished.

Select Control Panel from the Start menu.

Go to Programs.

Click Set your default programs.

Highlight Windows Mail under Programs.

Click Set this program as default.

Click OK.
